One author or colleague must be present at your poster during the assigned poster session time on the day of your presentation to explain your research and answer questions from viewers. Poster session assignments cannot be rescheduled. Posters displayed on a day or on a board to which it is not assigned will be removed without prior notice.
All posters must be set-up between 07:00 - 08:00 on the day of the presentation. Posters must be removed the same day as the presentation – any posters that are not removed will be discarded.
The abstract number will determine the location of where you will display your poster, and will also correspond with your abstract in the final publication. All poster boards will be clearly labeled with the appropriate abstract number prior to set-up.
Abstracts are grouped by category and numbered consecutively within each poster session.
IMPORTANT: MDS will be verifying proof of registration for at least one (1) author on every accepted abstract by December 30, 2019. Please note that the early registration deadline is January 15, 2020, however abstract presenters must provide proof of registration to MDS by December 30, 2019.
It is not mandatory that the first author is pre-registered; the presenter can be any of the contributing authors or a colleague. Exceptions to this policy may be made for extenuating circumstances if e-mailed in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org by December 30, 2019.
All submitted abstracts were reviewed by the PAS Scientific Program Committee. Authors were required to select one category under which their abstract should be reviewed.
The Committee was directed to reject abstracts for the following causes:
- Plagiarism detected
- Subject not related to the field of Movement Disorders
- Does not meet basic submission requirements
Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in an electronic supplement to the Movement Disorders Clinical Practice journal, online edition.
Changes After Abstract Has Been Submitted Are Strongly Discouraged
If critical changes need to be made to your abstract content after it has been submitted, please request those changes by email to email@example.com.
Changes will not be accepted after December 1, 2019.
If an abstract must be withdrawn for any reason, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. Withdrawals must be received in writing by December 20, 2019. There is no penalty to withdraw your abstract, however if your withdrawal request is received after the abstracts have been sent for publication, it cannot be withdrawn and will remain a part of the 2020 MDS published abstracts. All submitted abstracts become the property of MDS.
Travel grant submissions for the 3rd Pan American Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Congress is now closed. Travel Grants notifications will be sent via e-mail in early November 2019. If you have not received notification by late December 2019, please contact email@example.com.
Awarded Travel Grant funds are not transferrable. If you receive an award and your attendance status for the 2020 PAS Congress changes for any reason, your award is forfeited and MDS will pursue another candidate.
Travel Grant funds will only be distributed after the conclusion of the 2020 PAS Congress; exceptions to this rule will not be considered.
