Eye Movements and Ocular Disorders for Diagnosis of Movement Disorders

In this session, the faculty will discuss the general approach to patients with eye movement disorders and will describe eye movements in disorders of the basal ganglia, brainstem, and cerebellum. Movement disorders that also involve retinal changes that aid diagnosis will be described. Case vignettes and videos of classic eye movement disorders will be presented for discussion.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be better able to:
- Be able to complete a neuro-ophthalmic examination and recognize the use of eye movements in hypokinetic movement disorders.
- Recognize the approach to opsoclonus and nystagmus.
