Treatment Strategies for Functional Movement Disorders: Beyond Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
Friday, February 13, 2026
17:00 - 18:30 | River Oaks Room
In this session, the faculty will synthesize contemporary evidence on functional movement disorder rehabilitation, advancing beyond cognitive-behavioral therapy toward a transdisciplinary model that aligns neurophysiological insights with patients’ lived experiences. Using focused case vignettes and practical demonstrations, participants will learn how to design personalized treatment plans that incorporate tremor retraining, biofeedback, and task-specific motor exercises; and support patient adherence and self-efficacy.
